Generation Connection helps people create a record of their lives for themselves and their families through classes and private consultations. I believe that the unique details of your life can help subsequent generations know who you are. They may even be a valuable resource for students of modern history.
When I was director of public relations for Maine Township High School District 207, I designed a cooperative writing program for students and senior citizens to connect through their life stories.
I have facilitated the Life Story Writing program for Ela Township 55+ and enjoy talking about memoir writing at libraries, senior centers, and other civic and service groups. One of my favorite things is working with people who want to write their own life story.
A life long writer, I have had numerous articles on a wide variety of topics published in local and national publications. As I honed my skills as an interviewer during the years I worked as a newspaper editor and feature writer and freelanced for magazines, I learned that "everyone has a story" and look forward to the opportunity to help you tell yours.
An award winner in the National School Public Relations publications competition when I was Director of Public Relations for Maine Township High School District 207, since then I have honed my writing skills with multiple clients in such diverse areas as agronomy, the arts, developmental disabilities, legal matters, religion, senior and retirement issues, translating specific technical knowledge into user friendly language that communicates.
